ABOUT ALANNAH
Country artist Alannah McCready is making her mark in the music world with an authentic voice and a unique blend of modern country and mainstream pop. Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, McCready's journey to music stardom began in her childhood, where her mother instilled in her a love for country music, particularly icons like Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride. Alongside this passion for music, McCready also excelled in hockey, where she became a standout goalie, ultimately earning a full athletic scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While McCready was contributing to two NCAA Women’s Hockey National Championships, her true calling for music began to pull her in a new direction.

After graduating, McCready took on a career in sports public relations for an NFL management company, but the pull of music remained strong. Realizing it was now or never, she made the bold decision to pursue her music career full-time and moved to Nashville, where she began honing her craft as a songwriter and performer. In addition to her current residencies at Barstool Nashville and Category 10, McCready has played at notable venues like Whiskey Jam, Tin Roof Nashville, CMA fest, CRS, and the Twelve Thirty Club, eventually opening for major country acts like Jordan Davis, Tyler Rich, Collective Soul, Micheal Ray and Dan + Shay.

With a fierce work ethic developed from her athletic background, McCready quickly made a name for herself in Nashville’s vibrant music scene. Her debut album, Love Hangover, followed by Ricochet Heart, marked the start of her musical journey, exploring themes of heartbreak and the aftermath of tumultuous relationships. However, it was her 2022 EP Back To Me that solidified McCready’s evolution as an artist. The project reflected her growth, with songs that delve into self-love, healing, and empowerment.

McCready is currently preparing to release her highly anticipated new single, "I’m Just Fine", on March 21. The song is a deeply personal reflection on McCready’s emotional journey through struggles, including a recent health scare. Written with Will Gittens, "I’m Just Fine" explores themes of resilience, vulnerability, and the complexity of masking inner pain. McCready shares, "This song started as a way to cope with my own experience and evolved into a message about how good people often face hardships they don’t deserve."

"I’m Just Fine" is set to follow the success of her Back To Me EP and McCready’s previous release, the track “Can I Call” ft. Will Gittens. With its raw, relatable themes, McCready’s new music continues to showcase her unique ability to blend pop sounds and country storytelling.

Looking ahead, McCready is excited to release more music in 2025. As McCready reflects on her journey, she says, "Music has healed me so much. Writing and singing has helped me process things in my life, so I hope that it’s just as relatable for my fans."

With her unwavering work ethic, personal authenticity, and undeniable talent, Alannah McCready is poised to become a powerful voice in country music, connecting with fans through her soul-stirring music and inspiring them to keep pushing forward no matter what challenges life may bring.
